Awards

Welcome to the awards section of our program's website, a space to celebrate student achievements and recognition of work selected for outside exhibition.

Throughout the year, students have the opportunity to earn various awards and honors, ranging from classroom accolades to citywide and national recognition. As a class, we are committed to fostering creativity and excellence, encouraging students to submit their work to prestigious exhibitions and competitions such as PSArt, the Manhattan Borough Arts Festival, the Scholastic Art Awards, and Arts Connection. These opportunities provide our students with the chance to share their voice, celebrate their artistic expression, and be recognized for their hard work and creativity.

The Museum of Modern Art

All 5 boroughs in NYC offer prestigious exhibition opportunities for NYC public school students. This prestigious award comes with a borough-wide exhibition opening at MoMA in June where artwork is custom framed. Students receive their framed artwork at the end of the exhibition period.

PSArt

PSArt is a city-wide exhibition opportunity open to all students in the NYCDOE. Students who are selected for this prestigious award will have their work professionally framed and will be invited to attend an exhibition opening at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The work will be part of an exhibition in their education wing that is up for the summer and early fall. All framed work is returned to students at the end of the exhibition.
